At Resurgence, we’re here to walk alongside you—whether you’re an individual, part of a community, or leading an organization—on your journey toward meaningful change. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we take the time to understand your unique context, goals and strengths, and we work with you to build on them.

Our approach is all about relationships, rooted in social justice and anti-colonial/decolonial values. We’re not here to create dependency—we’re here to support growth, healing, connection, and lasting impact in ways that feel real and respectful and honour liberation and reconciliation.

Resurgence is excited to now offer counselling services for individuals, couples & families.

Services at Resurgence are maybe best described as gentle and caring AND challenging and direct BUT NOT judgmental.

In my work, I am open-minded. I support people exploring options in life that may be very different from my own. I don’t believe in diagnosing, labeling, or pathologizing human responses to experiences. Instead, I want to understand how your experiences and relationships have shaped you. I also want to know how they have affected you. Additionally, I seek to learn how you want to shift these things.

We are relational creatures and therapy/counselling are relational processes. They are conversations and a collaboration. As a counsellor, I don’t claim to know your truth. You do. Yet, I may help you uncover them, rediscover them, or return to them.

If I had to describe my approach, it would be curious and relational. It is based in relational therapies, attachment theories, and emotionally-focused therapies. I also incorporate internal family systems, somatic therapies, and view the process of counselling through a decolonized lens. I consider myself a “challenging practitioner” and believe that change comes when we embrace and step into discomfort.

Counselling Services:

  • individual counselling
  • counselling for youth/teens
  • couples counselling
  • family/group counselling

Let’s build something good together.
